Big Boy Bed

 

Some friends gave Van a race car bed yesterday and he only fell out of it once last night. Tonight Race decided to sleep with Van, so we'll see how it goes. They are both quiet, so hopefully they are asleep.

It's raining and it's feel so nice, it's been a hot day. We went to the splash park this afternoon and the guys had a great time. Van meets with his therapist tomorrow, she is really nice and it's been going great.

He's finally smiling

 

 

Race and I finally got Van to smile and he kind of posed himself. We had about given up on taking a photo of him with a smile on his face and somehow Race got him to laugh and he just happened to be sitting on the ground in this position.

It's been a beautiful weekend. We went on a long walk yesterday and plan to do that as well today. Race is out playing ball and Van is unloading Keith's bookshelf while daddy's asleep.

We are going to eat with a friend tomorrow night for Memorial Day.

Two Cold Boys

 

We went to the Zoo today and the boys played in the sprinkle park area. They were about to freeze, but had a good time.

Here are some shots of the boys in the yard today. It's a hard job to get Van to smile for his picture, so as you see he's not smiling in these. Race has been at the basketball court most of the day, as most days.

Time for a Haircut

 

 

 

Van just got a haircut from Dad the Barber and Race is next on the list. Van started crying hysterically when Keith got out the clippers, he's usually not afraid of things, but I guess he wasn't ready for his haircut.

Tomorrow is the last day of School!!!!!!!!!! Keith's parents will be here tomorrow to visit with us for a while.

We plan to get out some next week and go to the zoo and maybe visit some parks, that is if the weather's nice, which it hasn't been lately.

The boys have been gracious this week to let me sleep in a little, I have been sick and they've worked with me for the most part. Van wasn't too fond of Race changing his diaper and dressing him.

Who are you calling nasty?

 

Van really enjoys his food! He likes to dig his hand into the yogurt container to make sure he didn't waste anything. He has been really aggravating his big brother lately, he still likes to yell, a lot!

Race is really looking forward to his buddy, Isaiah, coming to visit in less than a month. Wow, three boys for three weeks, hopefully I will survive. Let's hope the weather is nice, because I am going to make sure they are outside as much as possible. They like to wrestle and roll around in the grass, climb trees and play basketball.

We went to Bardstown and to Stephen Foster Park today. Here are a few pics from our outing. We walked around the park and then walked around the town and had lunch at another park. One photo is of Van shrugging his shoulders to say, "I don't know." You can ask him where mom or dad is at and he'll shrug those shoulders, even if were next to him. Race was hiding from grandma in his picture. The last photo is of two tired boys from a day of walking around. We had a nice time.
