Merry Christmas

 

 

 

 

Some pictures from the last few days.

Nice and Quiet

 

 

Van has been waking up around 6:15 and wants to talk or ask when can he get something to eat. Being I am not the morning person of the house, I usually try to hold him off for a while. The house is pretty quiet for now, Van is napping and Race is working on a book report.

We will be celebrating Christmas tomorrow, since Keith will be working part of the day on Christmas and over the weekend. The boys are excited about opening their gifts. Race had been wanting to try eggnog ever since he saw it at Kroger, so he bought a 1/2 gallon of it a few weeks ago and liked it. So he and Keith are working on their second carton of it now.

First Snow of the Season

 

We received our first snow on Monday, and all 3 boys had a great time throwing snowballs at each other.

We made a video of the guys singing "Happy Birthday," but we couldn't figure out how to post it to the blog, but we'll keep trying. Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Van's haircut

 

Van got a well needed haircut tonight by his favorite barber, daddy. Here's a picture of the boys wrestling, which is an everyday event in our household here lately.

Thanksgiving Eve

 

 

 

 

The boys were having a ball acting goofy and dressing up. I thought they might like to take a nice cute photo for their grandparents for Thanksgiving, but not a chance, this is how they chose to get their pictures taken.

Barf Bag

 

You'll be glad to know that the "barf bag" is good for entertaining as well as for other things. Van pulled it out of the seat pocket and put his men in it. So, next time you're traveling and the kids are bored, you'll know what to do.

Our Denver Trip- The Apex

 

 

 

 

We headed to Arvada(I think) and went to The Apex, this place was fun. The boys enjoyed playing in the heated pools and sliding down the water slide. I even had to try the water slide out a few times myself.

Our Trip to Denver-Colorado Springs

 

 

 

As you can see we were very busy while away. We headed to Colorado Springs to the Focus on the Family, the boys were able to play in various types of rooms, participate in a treasure hunt and go to the bookstore.

Our Trip to Denver-Golden, Colorado

 

 

Keith and I headed for Golden after we left the Red Rocks Ampitheatre. This was a neat little town with little shops and a nice river running through it. We walked by the river and strolled the streets and then headed back to a little Thai restaurant near Wheat Ridge, where our friends live. Our waitress at the restaurant was Vietnamese, we chatted with her and of course, we had to show her a picture of Van and talk about Vietnam.

Our Trip to Denver- Red Rocks Ampitheatre

 

 

 

 

Keith and I were able to take an afternoon off and have a date, we had a great time. One of our stops was the Red Rocks Ampitheatre. Keith had been here before, but it was my first time. We decided not to walk down to the stage, because last time Keith was here he decided to run back up the stairs and had to lay down because he couldn't breathe, the air is different than we are accustomed to. We decided to just observe. The view was amazing and here it was about in the middle of nowhere.

Our Denver Trip-The Stanley Hotel

 

 

 

 

After our trip to Estes Park, we stopped by "The Stanley Hotel" and gave ourselves a self guided tour. The hotel stated that Stephen King got his idea for one of his movies, "The Shining" from this hotel. We had fun snooping around on the creaky floors of this old hotel.

We had a wonderful time with our friends in Denver. Here are a few shots of our day trip to Estes Park, Colorado. The boys had fun throwing rocks in the river and then we went for a hike.
