We couldn't talk Race into getting the same haircut as Keith and Van, but I think it looks nice for the summer.

 

 

 

 

How do you like Van's new haircut? We weren't planning on cutting it this short, but accidents tend to happen. I think he looks like his daddy. At least, I don't have to worry about combing it.

 

 

A few days ago Van mentioned that he wanted to rename the kitties. Here are a few names that he came up with: Puke, Ketchup and Mustard. I didn't have to think too hard on that. Needless to say, the cats still have their orignal names. Yesterday, he mentioned that he wanted to get rid of them and get a dog. I said, "Do you want to throw them in the trash," He said, "No, we can put them in a box and take them to the pet store." We are not getting a dog.

Race has 4 days of school left after today. The last day doesn't really count though, because we're having a field day and going to the pool.

Can't wait for a little vacation time away.

These pictures are of Daniel Boone's grave and the view from there. This was a neat cemetery, but we didn't get to do a lot of exploring, because it was cold and started to rain.

Tuesday, we took a field trip to Frankfort, Kentucky to tour the Capitol, the Governor's Mansion, The Vietnam Veteran's Memorial and Daniel Boone's grave. All of the pictures above are from the Mansion, it's not a shabby place. Look behind the podium and you'll see Van trying to poke his head up to the microphone. I can see him being a politician one day, he loves to talk to anyone that will listen.
