Happy Birthday Van!

 

 

 

 

 

We had a birthday celebration for Van tonight. Keith made Pho and Race made the birthday cake. I can't believe he'll be 5 tomorrow. We dressed him in his Vietnamese outfit that we bought while in Vietnam. You only see a head shot while he's wearing the blue outfit, because his stomach was showing and the pants are way too short.

 

It doesn't look good for those adopting from Ethiopia. On March the 10th, the number of adoptions processed per day is going from 50 to 5. We are holding tight until then to see if this is going to actually go into effect. Since we do not have our referral yet, we may have to switch countries. The only country that our agency offers that we'll qualify for is the Ukraine. Our agency does drop the fee for the second child if you adopt from there. The children that are most readily available are children 5 and over. The best scenario in our eyes would be for this change not to go into effect, but God may have other plans for us.

It's been dreary and wet here. I have been trying to sew today, but I am awful with getting things even and straight, no matter how hard I try it still comes out uneven.

For some reason there was a problem with the previous post, so I have put Race's trophy picture in with this group.

Van was having a ball painting. I kept asking him to look at me, but he kept saying wait as you can see with his hand signal.

Race had his awards night for basketball last Sunday night, and here's his trophy. I can't believe I forgot to take my camera, but I did. He got a team picture and I tried to take a picture of it to post on here, but it wasn't clear.

Their last game they beat the undefeated team. He really enjoyed the season.
