Our Trip to Denver-Colorado Springs

 

 

 

As you can see we were very busy while away. We headed to Colorado Springs to the Focus on the Family, the boys were able to play in various types of rooms, participate in a treasure hunt and go to the bookstore.

Our Trip to Denver-Golden, Colorado

 

 

Keith and I headed for Golden after we left the Red Rocks Ampitheatre. This was a neat little town with little shops and a nice river running through it. We walked by the river and strolled the streets and then headed back to a little Thai restaurant near Wheat Ridge, where our friends live. Our waitress at the restaurant was Vietnamese, we chatted with her and of course, we had to show her a picture of Van and talk about Vietnam.

Our Trip to Denver- Red Rocks Ampitheatre

 

 

 

 

Keith and I were able to take an afternoon off and have a date, we had a great time. One of our stops was the Red Rocks Ampitheatre. Keith had been here before, but it was my first time. We decided not to walk down to the stage, because last time Keith was here he decided to run back up the stairs and had to lay down because he couldn't breathe, the air is different than we are accustomed to. We decided to just observe. The view was amazing and here it was about in the middle of nowhere.

After our trip to Estes Park, we stopped by "The Stanley Hotel" and gave ourselves a self guided tour. The hotel stated that Stephen King got his idea for one of his movies, "The Shining" from this hotel. We had fun snooping around on the creaky floors of this old hotel.

We had a wonderful time with our friends in Denver. Here are a few shots of our day trip to Estes Park, Colorado. The boys had fun throwing rocks in the river and then we went for a hike.

 

It's been a busy few months for us. We moved into an apartment on Tuesday and are finally done unpacking. We are trying to finish hanging pictures and putting things away, so we can get ready for our trip to Denver on Tuesday. The boys are sleeping and Keith is finishing up The Lord of the Rings (I can't watch it, I'd have nightmares), so I am updating the blog.

I can't believe on the 16th we'll have had Van for 2 years, it doesn't seem that it was that long ago. He has been such a blessing to us; this busy and loud little boy.

I will post some pictures soon, I have let my picture taking take a back seat here lately.

Times are busy

 

It's been so busy around here that I have not had time to post in a while. The house we are living in has been for sale and now has a contract on it. We have been looking at apartments and houses and have about decided that we'd rather rent a house for the time being. We have found a house that we like, and we have an appointment to see the house on Wednesday. We still do not know our plans for the future, but God does and that is far better than the future being in our hands.

Race had a bracket put in his mouth last week, so he has been having a time learning to eat with this device in his mouth. He will need to wear this bracket for about 6-9 mos.

We have two more subjects and then we're done, I like short school days!
