Here are a few pictures from our trip to the zoo. I know it seems that I post more pictures of Van, but he likes to have his picture taken and Race isn't too fond of it.

sewing project

 

I like to sew, but I don't care for patterns too much, because I always seem to do something wrong. I am attending a baby shower soon, so I decided I wanted to make the gift and I was in the mood to sew. I usually just make simple curtains or things for the house, but I wanted to try and make something different. I ran across this pattern for reversible bibs and it looked simple enough. So, the recipient will be my guinea pig.

I wanted to get some cute shots of the boys, but they wanted to act silly, of course. I thought these were cute of them laughing.

We decided to take the week off of school, it's been nice to do a little spring cleaning and errand running. I also made time to sew a little and plants some flowers.

Spring is here

 

We are so happy for the nice weather we've been given lately. Van is showing off the Forsythia bush in our front yard.

We went to the zoo for a couple of hours this afternoon and the we had a great time.

Visitors

 

 

Last week these ducks started coming to our patio door. It started off as two ducks and we saw up to four one day. They seem to have left, which is fine with me, because we sometimes leave the door open and I don't think I want to find a duck in my house, no matter how cute he is.

Rainbow Cupcakes

 

My mom and I made rainbow cupcakes for's Van birthday celebration #1. They were a mess to make, but they turned out cute. I should have taken a close up, but I didn't get around to it.

Van turned 4 on Saturday. We actually had two celebrations, one while my parents were here and one on his birthday with just us.
