We were updated this morning by our cooridantor. We found out that the Consulate, that we met with on friday, is saying that more investigation is needed, but we do not know about what. We were not given a time frame as to when this will be done either. Our experience with the Province Van is from has been slow from the beginning. We are on day 17 here in HCMC. We will go to the park or out for a walk to pass the time. We had our bags packed and were ready to go yesterday only to hear-WAIT. Well waiting is what we'll be doing until we hear more. Thanks so much for all of your comments and concerns and prayers for our family as we are here away from everything we know. Van is thriving. He has learned to yell and grunt. He continues to eat anything, but not fond of spaghetti. He even eats some kind of collard green (or some green) type of soup. I even have been known to eat it also. Food is no longer a pleasure, but something to keep us alive. I sent the photos from our G&R, adoption on the Vietnames side, to our parents, but for some reason they will not open. They aren't great photos anyway. Keep Praying and pray some more.

Lord, we pray that you would give the consulate the information that they need to allow the Parker family to bring Van home. Lord, we know that you are in total control. We do not know what you are doing but we pray that you would bring clarity to this situation. We pray that you would give the Parker's the rest, strength, grace, and patience that they need to finish there trip. Please protect them from the evil one who brings doubt, bitterness, and anger. Lord, we plead with you on their behalf to bring them home soon. We love you and are praying for you!!!
Hello there! We totally understand the hurry up and wait game! We were in Ukraine for 5 weeks...part of the time spent doing the same thing you are doing. Wait, wait, wait...only to find out NOTHING. But, God is in control and working things out for your good. The important thing is you have your son. Looking back you pretty much forget all the stressful details. Just take LOTS of pictures and video of your son's birth country. We took HUNDREDS of pictures, and are so glad we did. It will be the only visual your son will have of where he came from. We are praying for you!
I wish I could share the fresh pick tangerines that Aunt Joyce brought Aunt Mattie with you. They both ask everyday what's up with the Parkers. What size clothes is Van wearing? Don't eat to much green soup(stuff) Keith will be getting the recipe and cooking it for you at home to go with the rice. Do you believe Pops is going to pick up pecans, Mary has a lot in her front yard, we'll see! much love from south Georgia, mama

Life is just a bowl full of cherries, huh? It takes a lot of courage to deal with what your dealing with. Just remember the road that brought you to where you are now, was a VERY looonnnnggg road, but you finally made it. Now you've got to find your way back! Have you ever thought about clicking the heals of your ruby red slippers together and saying, "there's no place like home. There's no place like home..." :) Listen to Rachel, she's been there; 5 weeks!!! Are you kidding me??? Hopefully, that friend of yours has some pull. Do you think that son of Bill Blocker can help you out? Just remember, you won't have to stay there forever. We're all praying for you guys. Stay strong and keep hope alive!!
